The new myGov app is a significant step forward in how we modernize technology for our customers.
We know that most people already use their mobile devices to sign in to myGov. With our new app, we are giving people more choice and control over how they connect with their government.
This app is designed specifically for smartphones, making it safer, more convenient, and more user-friendly.
Liz, director of the myGov research and service design team, said people were providing positive feedback about their experience with the app.
“They tell us that the app is easy to use and provides quick access to linked services.
“It's easy to access your myGov inbox and see important messages.
“The app's intuitive features make using myGov on mobile more convenient than ever.
This includes being able to use your phone's built-in accessibility features, such as increasing text size.
“By using facial and fingerprint recognition technology, signing in to myGov is now easy – no username, password or SMS code required.”
With over 1 million app registrations in 3 months, it's clear that people are embracing the app.
Releasing a new app is just the first step. We will continue to add features and improve the app over time to meet people's expectations.
