RIYADH: The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has launched its 2024 summer program “Saudi Summer is Next Door”. It will run for four months until the end of September in seven destinations and include more than 550 tourist attractions.
It offers carefully selected products and over 150 special offers and packages for all segments of families and children, including adventure seekers, luxury holiday seekers and those interested in culture and tradition.
The Saudi Summer Program 2024 launch event was attended by World Tourism Organization Director-General Zurab Pololikashvili, more than 250 key strategic partners from the public and private sectors, key media and key opinion leaders.
The summer program will be held in seven destinations: Asir, Al Baha, Taif, Red Sea (new destination), Jeddah, Riyadh and Al Ula. This year's program will also see the return of Jeddah Season and the launch of Asir Season, featuring a number of family-friendly activities and events.
Ahmed Al Khatib, Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the STA Board of Directors, highlighted global tourism.

As a result, Saudi Arabia topped the United Nations' world tourism list and the list of G20 countries.
The launch of the Saudi Summer Program 2024 comes at a time when visiting Saudi Arabia has become easier, smoother and safer through initiatives such as making e-Visas available to nationals of 66 countries, reducing the total e-Visa fee by 20%, increasing flights from Gulf cities to Saudi Arabia's summer destinations to 1,100 flights per week, and increasing the number of hotel rooms available for travelers, with an additional 25,000 rooms set to be added this year.
