AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A new brewery is being built in the city of Amsterdam. Schwalbacher Brewing is scheduled to open at 30 E Main Street, with a grand opening scheduled for his Fourth of July date.
The brewery is owned by Colin and Sheianne Schwalbach. This location will include both brewing operations and a taproom.
“We moved to Amsterdam over a year ago and felt the community was underserved in terms of quality beer, community gathering places, and downtown businesses.” Colin Schwalbach said.
Schwalbach said his company is a small-batch brewery and the goal is to rotate beers throughout the year. “This allows us to continually push the envelope and be creative,” Schwalbach said.
Schwalbach said the brewery will have a limited selection of finger foods and will partner with various food trucks throughout the summer. The brewery will also offer a growler His Pour and a limited edition Bomber.
Schwalbacher Brewing's grand opening on July 4 will include food trucks, games and, of course, beer. Schwalbach said the brewery's current operating hours are Thursday through Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“We are excited to bring fun beer to the community,” Schwalbach said. “We also plan to host different types of community events. If you have other small businesses that would like to partner with us, please contact us through social media or our website.”
