The corrections officer, identified as Linda Macuma, last spoke to neighbors at least three days ago and told them she was preparing for a match inside the prison.

Neighbor Kevin Kurumba said they knew she wasn't around so everyone carried on without thinking anything was wrong.
“It's been about three days since I last saw her because we were together on Thursday. She said she was attending a sporting event and we were just there for a casual conversation. They was playing an inter-prison match in Nakuru. , From that Thursday, everyone started their work,” he said.
How was Linda's body discovered?
A neighbor said she first raised the alarm when her cousin, who is studying at a local educational institution, came to visit.
Kelvin said he noticed the door was locked from the inside, looked inside and saw someone's feet but couldn't figure out who it was.
“Dr Kiplimo, her cousin who studies here, came and knocked on the door, but it wasn’t opened. So we had information that she had gone to a sporting event, so we When we checked, we noticed that there was no padlock by the door. When we tried to open the door, we found that it was locked from the inside. That made me worried,” he added.

With the help of police officers at the scene, they broke down the door and discovered the decomposed body of a 28-year-old police officer.
Another neighbor revealed that upon closer inspection, the girl did not die recently, but appeared to have passed away about four days ago. A mobile phone charging cable was found wrapped around her neck.
Kirinyaga woman found dead in her bedroom
In other news, police officers in Kirinyaga County responded to an incident where a 64-year-old woman was found dead in her bedroom.
Rose Musoni Kariuki was found murdered in her bedroom on Saturday, November 4, with bruises on her neck.
According to a Nippon Television report, when neighbors checked on the woman, blood was oozing from her mouth and nose.
