Summit is creating a “Run for Rich” employee team in honor of Rich Ford, an exemplary member of the Summit team who sadly and unexpectedly passed away in 2023.

Located in North Quincy. The 5K route winds through the Squantum neighborhood, offering beautiful views of the harbor and Boston skyline.
Interfaith Social Services' annual event has grown from a walk sponsored by a local church to a full-fledged 5K race that welcomes more than 800 walkers and runners each year. In 2016, the organization decided to refocus the event's mission to focus on ending the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction while raising funds for New Directions Counseling Center.

Over the past 10 years, Stop the Stigma 5K has raised more than $500,000 to support New Directions clients and helped hundreds of individuals and families receive the mental health care they need. By participating in the 5K, thousands of local residents chose to combat mental health stigma and support those struggling with mental illness and addiction.

Interfaith's New Directions Counseling Center seeks to address these difficult issues by providing services to all who seek counseling. The center serves as a safety net for the uninsured and underinsured in the community by providing services on a sliding fee scale. To further remove barriers to receiving treatment, new clients at New Directions Counseling Center receive their first four sessions with her for free.
