The project monitoring team also inspected the ongoing Oporoma Bridge project in the southern part of Ijaw local government area and the Aqaba/Okodi road in Yenagoa/Ogbia local government area of the state.
The project monitoring officer noted that Setraco has shown unwavering commitment to delivering superior and lasting high-quality projects in the state, but said the agency will continue to advocate for standards and specifications. He emphasized that the project is of great importance for current and future development. of the state.
He reiterated the Prosperity Administration's commitment to infrastructure development in the state and assured Bayelsans that the Douyet Diri administration would drive the project to completion.
The Chairperson called on the people of Nembe and Brass and other stakeholders to take ownership of the project by protecting it, introducing the concept of ownership and ensuring that the road was a vital part of the local economy and the nation. He emphasized that it will bring significant economic benefits to both parties.
In response, Setraco Construction Company Project Manager Engr Julian said that tremendous milestones had been achieved in the construction of sand-cement, stone foundations and karbets on the road.
Engr Julien said piling work on the first two bridges had begun, adding that more milestones would be achieved in the coming days.
He thanked the state governor, Senator Dowe Diri, for finding the company suitable to construct major road projects in the state.
