NIPSCO has donated funds to 21 nonprofit organizations through the 2024 Environmental Action Grant Program.
Funds from the Merrillville-based utility and the NiSource Charitable Foundation will support environmental restoration and education efforts throughout northern Indiana.

NIPSCO will receive $78,700 to fund a variety of projects including native habitat restoration, wildlife research, pollinator projects, youth nature programming, water quality monitoring, rain shelter education, and forestry worker safety training. are donating.

NIPSCO has awarded $577,700 through 143 environmental action grants over the past nine years. Grants range from $500 to $5,000.
