Death toll in Kwa-Mswee River tragedy
On Friday, five people were confirmed dead after a truck trying to cross a river was swept away by intense floodwaters.
Residents said they had been camping on the riverbank since morning, waiting for the water level to recede.
However, while we were waiting, two trucks loaded with ballast tried to cross, and one made it to the other side of the river without incident.
The Kenya Red Cross further revealed that the rescued people were rushed to Sultan Hamdo Sub-county Hospital for treatment.
